Delta Airlines and South African Airways offer travelers DAILY DIRECT flights from New York OR Atlanta to Johannesburg International or Cape Town, in South Africa. The flight duration is approximately 16 hours. Other options would to fly into Europe on airlines such as British Airways or KLM to Johannesburg and transit London or Amsterdam.
Once you're in South Africa, daily flights are available to Maun Airport in Botswana - your gateway airport for all Botswana safaris. Note that it may be necessary to spend an overnight in Johannesburg as flights to Maun depart in the morning (SAA or Air Botswana).
