BOTSWANA SAFARI CAMP ACCOMMODATION IDEAS
Mombo Camp, Botswana
Botswana\'s Okavango Delta is Africa\'s most incredible wildlife and wilderness region. Okavango Delta is most remarkable as a wetland paradise located within the arid Kalahari Desert in southern Africa.
Mombo Camp is sited on Mombo Island, at the northern tip of Chief\'s Island, within the Moremi. Mombo island is surrounded by open floodplains and Mombo camp is largely built around a shade of a large indigenous forest overlooking a stunning floodplain teeming with wildlife.
Mombo camp has nine elegantly furnished tented suites, eacj raised off the ground in its own clearing. The luxury tents and connecting walkways that connect are about two meters off ground, allowing game to wander freely through Mombo camp while allowing for personal safety. One often finds that buffalo take refuge under the rooms.

Little Mombo Camp, Botswana
Little Mombo is situated on Mombo Island at the north of Chief\'s Island, within Moremi Game Reserve. Little Mombo camp offers abundant big five game viewing, arguably among the best in Botswana. Little Mombo Camp is a three tent extension to Mombo Camp, and is situated in its own clearing built under the shade of a large forest, overlooking a beautiful floodplain full of wildlife. The camp is connected to Main Mombo Camp by a walkway. The three tented suites are elegantly designed, very spacious and well facilitated. The dining and lounge area overlook the wide plains before the camp and there is a swiiming pool for colling off in the afternoons. Activities at Little Mombo include morning and afternoon safaris in open safari vehicles. The highlight is the concentration of plains game and the big predators - including the cats - with Lion and Leopard sightings being especially great. Guests would also see large herds of Buffalo and Elephant, Cheetah, African Wild Dog, White Rhino (the only region in Botswana to have Rhino), Hyena, Giraffe, Wildebeest and Zebra.

Kings Pool Camp, Linyanti
The Linyanti Wildlife Reserve offers one of Africa\'s most exhilarating wildlife experiences, with an area covering 275,000 acres of private wildlife reserve, located between Okavango and Chobe regions. Elephant are one of the premier attractions of Linyanti - especially in the winter months (Jul - Oct) when they are forced to congregate along waterways and around waterholes, during which the reserve has several thousand elephant. Kings Pool Camp is situated in Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, close to the source of the Savuti Channel, overlooking the hippo-filled Kings Pool Lagoon and Linyanti River.
The beautiful accommodation at Kings Pool is one of the most luxurious in Africa, with nine large suites under cool thatch, overlooking the KIngs Pool lagoon in front of camp. Each of the suites has its own large bedroom area, lounge, private plunge pool and a private deck with day bed.

Jao Camp, Okavango Delta
Jao Camp is a seasonal water safari camp, located in the private Jao reserve on a large remote island, to the west of the Moremi in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Across the floodplains in front of Jao camp, guests have access to a wonderful Okavango experience.
Guests are accommodated in nine large and spacious rooms at Jao Camp. Each of the beautiful canvas and thatch suites has been individually handcrafted and built under a forest canopy. The suites at Jao Camp are raised off the ground and offer wonderful views of the surrounding floodplains. The safari activities at Jao Camp include mokoro (canoe) safari excursions, river cruises, Tiger-fishing, day and night game drives and guided walks. During Botswana\'s winter months, May through October, the flood levels rise and large herds of Red Lechwe (water antelope) can be found on the floodplains, that Lion are particularly adept at hunting in the water. Leopard and Elephant are more prevalent at this time. During this time the focus at Jao switches more to water activities with limited game drives on the larger island. A greater choice of activities is possible at this time of year due to the higher water levels.
