Walking safaris in Botswana offer the opportunity to enjoy Africa from a different perspective. Walking safaris (or 'game walks'), where offered, are an exciting way to experience the African wilderness and offer thrilling opportunities to observe wildlife from a close, yet discreet, encounter. Perhaps the best regions to experience walking safaris are Jacks Camp in the Kalahari, Kings Pool Camp at Linyanti and Vumbura Plains Camp in the Okavango, all offering game walks in their private concessions. Guests must be evaluated by the Camp Manager and, at his discretion, they may be permitted to join a walking safari with a qualified and knowledgeable game ranger. Game Walks are generally available for durations of one to three hours depending on your physical fitness. * There is no additional fee to go on a walking safari at our camps, however, a gratuity to your game ranger is appreciated.
